Money

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many

sorrows "1 Timothy 6:10 "

loving of money is a big obstacle in the way of our salvasion. It pushes man to trangress the commandments as it is wirrten, "Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

Rich men sometimes trust in their money instead of trusting in God as it is wirrten, "Jesus answered again and said to them, Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!". They wrongly imagine that their life depends on what they own or that they have but, Our Lord Jesus said , Take heed and beware of covetousness, for ones life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. Others, using their wealth to live on the earth in pleasure and luxury; they forget eternity and also they will perish leaving their money behind them.

St Paul descripe love of money saying, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

From the above verses, we can conclude the danger of love of money and Greediness. it results in straying from faith and in many sorrows.

Contentment

Childern of God not only have to flee from love of money, but on the contrary they are contents with every thing, and also feel sufficieny in every condition like st Paul who said about himself, I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need."

How can we flee from love of money.

Firstly we must trust in God who take care of us, and of all his creation. St Paul said "Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

Secondly We must spend money genrously in good deeds to lay up percious treasures in heaven. othetwise, it wil be useless and we leave it behind us and God will condemn us because we do not ivest it in good deeds. st James wrote to who have money but they do not spend it " Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days".

Thirdly By Training our selves to be sufficient and content in every condition. Fating, and self controll help us to achieve this issue. st paul said,"And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content."
