The cross
And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple." Luke 14:27
Our lord said to the multitude about the cross, carrying his cross and not just carry a cross , this means that every one living on earth has a cross. In the paradise of joy there was no cross or suffering to be endured at all. When our father Adam and our mother eve sinned, Man was exilled from the paradise of joy and every borne of woman started from that time to suffer.
What is the meanning of bearing the cross
Bearing the cross in christinty means enduring diffculties and tribulation with out deviation from the rightous way of God. Sons of God withstand suffering thankfully and without grumpling on behalve of their beloved Lord Jesus Christ. They believe that carrying the cross ends with joy because, the Lord can easly use difficults or tribulations as a good tools for their purification and spiritual growth. He always convert all things to the good of His sons as it is written."So he said to them: Out of the eater came something to eat, And out of the strong came something sweet."
The only way back to heaven
Carrying my cross and following my beloved Lord Jesus is the only way to return to heaven. He was incarnate and became man to encourge me and to help me to bear my cross as he did before for me.
The cross is not heavy
With Him the cross is not heavy, but on the contrary we find rest and comfort for our souls as he said "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.".
He likened the cross by yoke because the yoke is always carried by two, So the Lord is with me in all tribulation to give joy and peace.
The cross is love
Childern of Jesus loves him and always want to share with Him carrying the cross, They serve in His church leading people to repetance as Our Lord Jesus said to st Peter, "..Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? He said to Him, Yes, Lord; You know that I love You. He said to him, Tend My sheep."
Sons of God who love the Lord Jesus must follow Him by striving delgenly to keep his commandments as He said "..He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father."
The cross ends with glory
God rewards every one according to his Justice as st Paul declared to the thessalonians, " so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;"
The childern of this world try to bypass diffculs and tribulation by transgression and ungodly behaviour they are always seeking for lusts and pleasure. they lust and sin and disobey God's commandments but they lose peace, and they can not find rest and lastly they will lose life on earth and heaven as it is written, ".. the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever".
Conclusion
Finally if you have tribulations or affliction do not glumple nor complain but. stand stead fast and endure it thankfully because these are the tools by which you will deserve the kingdom of heaven and if you can not recognise what is your cross till now you can toil for God in keeping His commandment and serving and loving the bretheren.
