Triumph

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:37-39

Fate of Man

God predestined the eternity for man. In eternity, there will be two fates: either inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven or eternal perdition. So, our life on earth will end either by triumph over the evil and receiving the heavenly reward or by condemnation and eternal perdition.

Grace of God

We cannot overcome Satan the wicked one without the help of God.  God always leads his sons to triumph in every state or condition of their lives. Our Lord Jesus Christ invites us to triumph by overcoming the evil and the wicked one, Satan. He said in the Scriptures, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Every Christian has the authority to overcome the world because he is a son of God, who always leads him to triumph. He guides him, helps him, strengthens him, consolidates, and comforts him during tribulation by His Holy Spirit.

The Need of God's Word for Triumph

The word of God has intrinsic power to save us. It works by the Holy Spirit. St. Peter taught us that God's word can purify us and likened it to milk by which babies grow. He commanded us to grow by it. He said in his first epistle, "Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord"" is gracious (1 Peter 2:1-3)."

The Power of God's Word Needs Faith

God granted us His words to overcome the world, but we cannot overcome without believing and hoping in his words. His words give us life, as he said to his holy disciples. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63)." He also said to Satan on the mountain, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). Therefore, there will be no victory without obeying the truth or by keeping the commandments of God.

Practical Advice

Lastly, to be saved, to overcome Satan, and to share the saints’ triumph, we have to believe in the Almighty God, implore his Grace by praying continuously, studying His word, reading it regularly every day, keeping it, and meditating on it, as St. Mary did: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart." (Luke 2:19)"
